LA Dodgers manager Dave Roberts held a press conference before Game 1 of the Division Series against the San Diego Padres at home on the 6th (Korea time) and said Clayton Kershaw was out this season.
Kershaw started the game against the Arizona Diamondbacks on Aug. 31, but was urgently replaced during the second inning due to pain in his left toe. The next day, on Sept. 1, he was placed on the injured list (IL) due to symptoms of bone growth in his left toe.

He had been seeking rehabilitation to play in the postseason, but his return was uncertain. "We are closing the door (to return)," Roberts said of Kershaw, who was excluded from the division series roster, making sure the season is over. "We were doing our best to play in the postseason, but his physical condition (the left big toe) is not getting elected. Rather, it is getting worse. This is how Clayton ended his 2024." 메이저사이트

Kershaw pitched in seven games this season and posted his worst record since his Major League debut. He had two wins and an ERA of 4.50.
